Frequently Asked Questions

ORDERING & DELIVERY QUESTIONS


* How easy is it to make a purchase?

Very! Simply browse our selection of delicious confectionery online, and add any purchases you wish to make to your cart. From there you'll be able to see your full order and complete the checkout process, including any p&p charges required. If you decide to remove any products from your cart prior to checkout, that's easy too and your total will update correctly after you remove said item(s).

* Where can I find a list of all allergens and/or ingredients for each product?

All products listed in our online store, have an area labelled 'INGREDIENTS & ALLERGENS', this is where you'll find the information you require for the product your viewing. If you're still unsure of the dietary properties of the product you wish to purchase, don't hesitate to drop us an EMAIL and ask.​


* Can I order online and collect from your Pierside Delights Kiosk location on Garth Pier, Bangor, North Wales?

We currently are not able to offer this service online; we do however recommend if you're already thinking of visiting Garth Pier, to pop in and choose directly from the Pierside Delights kiosk...you never know you may see something else you'd prefer! We will be opening the kiosk from Saturday, 22nd March 2025 at 10.30am to 3.30pm, and thereon in most weekends and holidays.

* How much do you charge for delivery?

Delivery is charged at £4.99 for 48 hour tracked delivery and £5.99 for 24 hour tracked delivery. We currently only ship to UK addresses. You will be able to select your preference of 24 hour or 48 hour delivery at the checkout stage (please remember there is a 2 day processing time to add onto the postal delivery times). We post Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holiday's) and all orders are mailed by 3pm.

* Do you ship overseas or to PO Boxes?

Unfortunately, we're not currently able to ship overseas or to PO Boxes.

* How much do I need to spend for Free delivery?

If you spend over £80 with us in a single order, we will post your order free of charge with Royal Mail 48 and if you spend over £90 with us in a single order, we will post your order free of charge with Royal Mail 24.

* Do you include invoices in delivered orders?

Many of our orders are gifts and as such we do not, as standard, include itemised receipts in our boxes. However if you would like to add a note to your order, we'll be happy to add one for you. Simply add this information to the 'notes' box whilst you checkout.

* How will my order arrive?

All orders are either packed into a cardboard box using their pre-packaging or for Jar (quarter of) sweets, these decanted into a sulphite paper bag and sealed with a sticker, as is the traditional way. We we then protect your confectionery with large cap bubble wrap for larger orders or small cap bubble wrap for letterbox orders, and finally include a loyalty card for you to use, either in store (at the pier) or online.

* How do I track my order?

All online orders, once processed, will include a tracking number, which will be updated on your order page. You can also manually use your tracking number on the Royal Mail tracking page HERE.


* Can I amend my order once accepted?

Due to us working in the Pier Shop and online, we are unable to guarantee we can make a change to your order once accepted. You are however, welcome to send us a message and we'll let you know whether your order has been processed and/or shipping, and therefore unable to make changes to, or whether we can make the change for you, at that point. 


* What Payment Methods do you accept?

For all online orders we use Square Payments and are happy for accept most debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, VPay, and Maestro debit and credit cards. Square also accepts mobile payments and digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay. If making your order at our Pierside Delights Kiosk on Garth Pier, we can accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Cash payments at our checkout.

* How long will my confectionery last?

On average many jar sweets have a reasonably good use by date (3 to 4 months after purchase, unless stated differently in their listings). Fudges and/or Chocolates are best eaten within 4 weeks of purchase (unless stated otherwise on their packaging).

To keep your purchases in premium condition after receipt, store in a screw top jar or air tight box and always in a cool dry place..


* Do you offer wholesale sweets?

Currently we do not offer a wholesale selection of sweets.

* Do you offer personalised sweets?

Currently we do not offer personalised sweets.

* Can you send me some free confectionery?

We regularly receive requests for free confectionery, either for charities or social media influencers. We do not offer free confectionery however.


* Are you VAT Registered or a Ltd Company?

Currently we are not a VAT Registered or Limited Company.
 


TROUBLE SHOOTING QUESTIONS

 

* I mistakenly entered the wrong address on my order, am I able change it?

If you've entered the wrong address and we have already posted your order we can not change it, unfortunately. If we are still in the processing stage, contact us immediately and we will see if we can amend the address (addresses must still be UK based).

We offer no refunds if you entered the wrong address and we are unable to change it due to processing, shipping or if the order has already been delivered.


* Can I return my sweets if I don't like the taste of them?

No; for health and safety reasons, confectionery is non returnable, refundable or exchangeable, except in cases where we have shipped an incorrect item to you or you received damaged goods.


* Can I return my sweets if they arrive later than advised?

All orders are processed within 2 days of arriving to us online. As soon as Royal Mail collect your order, delivery times are out of our control; because of this we are unable to offer refunds, if your parcel arrives later than advised.​


* My order has arrived with a missing or damaged item, can you replace it or refund me?

We endeavour to ensure your delivery arrives to you in perfect and correct condition. Where you find this has not been the case, contact us within 3 days of receipt of order and we will look into where things have gone wrong.  

Where we find there has been an error with missing item(s), incorrect item(s) or damaged item(s), you will receive a partial refund for said item(s).

Refunds will only be given against the missing or incorrect item(s) and not your whole order. Refunds are always returned back to the original payment method you used when you placed your order with us.
